Unfortunately there is no public transport to Wingates, so a private car is necessary. We can let you have details of local taxi firms, if desired.

Longhorsley is 4 miles away, Rothbury is 6 miles away, Morpeth is 10 miles away

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

There is off-road car parking at the front of the property for up to 3 cars. The car parking area is gravel, with access to the guest suite through the front door.

We always offer to help with carrying bags and cases to the bedrooms.

Main Entrance & Reception

There are four steps and the threshold to gain access through the front door. Unfortunately the steps are too steep to provide a ramp.

There is a seat provided in the entrance hall and paper and pen can be made available on arrival.

We will show you the accommodation on arrival, all of which is on the first floor (up a flight of 13 stairs, with a hand rail) which comprises the two bedrooms, guest sitting room and bathroom.

Dining Room

The dining room is on the ground floor.

There is wooden flooring, with a large rug in the middle of the room.

Special dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free) can be catered for, but advance notice would be appreciated.

Outdoor Facilities

Dogs are not allowed in the house, but comfortable accommodation is available in one of the outbuildings. Food can be provided at cost.

Guests are welcome to use the gazebo in the garden so as to admire the wonderful views. This is accessed by going round to the back of the house, across the lawn and down a step on to a gravel path.

Guest Bedrooms

There are two bedrooms: a double-bedded room and a twin-bedded room, both with fully fitted carpets.

The beds have feather pillows and goose-down duvets, but non-allergenic pillows and duvets can be provided in the twin room. Bed linen is washed using non-biological washing liquid and non-allergenic fabric conditioner.

Television, DVD and video are provided in the guest sitting room, which also has a fully fitted carpet. Internet access is also available. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the guest sitting room. Coloured water glasses are available on request.

No smoking is permitted on the premises.

Bathroom

The large bathroom has a separate walk-in shower and large bath, a basin and WC. A shower stool can be provided on request. The floor is tiled.

Additional Information

There is a smoke alarm on the upstairs landing which will sound in the event of a fire. Guests should make their way down the stairs and out of the front door to the car-parking area. As soon as any fire is spotted the Fire Brigade should be called by dialing 999.
